a real peace of history lots to see. for free. you can make a donation if you want. there was different levels. with attractions on each level. when you get to the top there is a beautiful view of ocean and reggio.
The castle is best viewed from the outside, because much of it is in ruins and much is not open. They have a nice exhibition of policemen over the years. It is not much of a rainy day activity because so little is open.
Definatelly recommend visiting this castle and purchasing the audio guide it will not disapoint. If you can be there just before sunset you will have the opportunity to witness a magnificent sunset with castle as a back drop

Who visit this castel needs to know that it has a lot of history! Talk with the guides! They speek english and can tell you all the history of these castel.

Walked around the city centre to locate the huge fortification. Nothing unusual, but definitely one of the major attractions by the Mediterranean coast of Reggio.
