I was only aware of this when I walked to the American museum as its a large observation tower and hard to miss! A great focal point, but even when walking right past, I wasn't sure where the entrance was, if it was open etc. Could have better signage outside.
Well worth a visit, we arrived early and went straight up, the staff where really good and very friendly. This gives you a really good view of the whole city and let's you get your bearing. For 3 euros it's a must, and it's very close to the metro which makes getting there very easy.
I love history, see ample urban scenery and take pictures. Last but not least: I love fairly priced attractions (which is why Barcelona sucks so low, they rip you off). Faro doesnt just meets my 4 criteria... it is a nice piece of architecture in itself, you have to admit, catchy to look at. I didn't expect history banners explaining... 更多
Visited here on a Saturday afternoon. It's roughly a 5 minute walk from Moncloa Metro station near a relatively quiet part of Madrid. Entrance fee for adults is 3€ which is pretty good value though we did have to wait quite a while to get in as they had an issue with their ticketing system. Once on the viewing platform... 更多
My wife and I were doing a walking tour around Moncloa and through the beautiful park there. You cannot miss this 'landmark' building which contrasts starkly with the triumphal arch at Moncloa. Not sure it fits in well to the landscape?
Bad start when we got there to be told that the lift was broken and to come back in an hour. We hung around in the small garden outside the Museo de America and watched the arrival and departure of the repairman. Tickets are cheap, 10€ for a family of five, and the ride to the top was fast partly... 更多
Right next to the metro. Cheap and other nice buildings nearby. Definitly worth doing to get an overview of the city
We visited the Faro in December. Daughter lives there, I have been to Madrid perhaps 8 times or so, and this is the first time visiting the Faro. It is not too far from the Templo de Debod and the Plaza de España. It cost us only a couple euros each. No line on a Thursday afternoon in December. I... 更多
After having waited for over 45min in line we got into the elevator and up to the observation deck. It was dark by then and could barley see the city. I suppose its a nice view whenever there light and its a clear weather. Did not enjoy it much as I had high expectations Worth noting that employees at the... 更多
