This is a great place to just sit back, relax and soak up the lush greenery. The sunken garden is particularly pretty. Gives the phrase 'peace and quiet' a whole new meaning.

This park is not bad for BBQ but not the best for families or someone looking for a decent park, I usually go to Birtch field park (5 minutes walking from Plattfield park) as it is better for families.
The space itself is nothing exceptional: worn out fields, old playgrounds and a decent lake. But for many South Mancs this park is full of happy memories: playing with friends, picnics, BBQs...
This is a space best enjoyed with friends and loved ones.
