The Luau was ok. Food was very good. The "show" wasn't what I was expecting. Seemed more like a High School musical. Very disappointed that the woman got shell lei's instead of flower lei's like the website stated. We would have bought one on the island if we knew we weren't going to get one.
For the best traditional family luau in Kauai, the Smith's Tropical Paradise Luau is it. Zoological and botanical tour, tremendous luau buffet and a Polynesian review is wonderful. If you want a glitzy modern show, this is not for you. But if you want an experience like Elvis enjoyed, this is it. It is a "Gotta Go" kinda place. IHG,... 更多
We visited this luau 23 years ago, a bit after Iniki. We had a wonderful time then and we had a great time last night. Suffice it to say, the crowds have increased since then. The food was outstanding though as well as the open bar, which truly IS open. Ask for wine where the soda bar is located, as... 更多
We had read everywhere that this is the best luau on Kauai. Well, we went to one at the Hilton on waikikiwhile the food was significantly better at Smith's, the show was a little tame. We still enjoyed it, but I think they need to step up their game on the show, especially with respect to the male dancers.
We really enjoyed the whole experience. We booked the tickets with tranfer from our hotel there and back, which was great. The food was very good. Although there were a lot of people, it did not feel crowded. The show was also very nice. Would definitely recommend!
We heard that Smith's is the best luau on Kauai, and it's true. The family and staff are most welcoming, the grounds are gorgeous and it never felt crowded, even in the dining hall. The ceremonies, music, food and dance are all authentically Hawaiian and expertly done. After watching the show we felt that we had a better understanding of... 更多
The food was very good and the luau was nothing really extravagant or really story telling but we enjoyed the dancing and we felt we got a feeling of the different cultures that have influenced Kauai'.
We've been to several luau experiences in Hawaii with different people each time. This one was very enjoyable. The meal was similar to others, but it also included a guided tour around a tropical botanical garden. I thought the music and dancers were a bit more culturally aligned than some we've seen.
