Myself and my husband have been walking this park for years as has my father and we all used to LOVE it right up until people stopped lifting up after their dogs and throwing litter at their backsides. Great walk through one of Ireland's lesser known natural landscapes....lead's on to Ervey Wood's.......some of the path's can be a bit steep and demanding especially during winter....but brilliant to see, especially for younger children....but you need to keep an eye on them.....steep falls.....fast river.....Well worth a visit...
What a find, from the cutest, quaintest little visitor centre, which wouldn't have looked out of place in a laird's castle, with immaculately clean toilets which greeted you with a blast of lovely warm air, to the walk itself, Ness Wood is just lovely. Enjoyed birdwatching and the lovely walk around the woods and environs. Weather was beautiful and the people I met along the way were friendly.
Great location for walking and hiking. We take our dogs here all the time and they love it! Although some dog owners really do need to keep their dog on their leads
