Huge church built on the proceeds of the wool trade.Lots of nice things to see- the glass being the highlight- go and see the others for yourself.
We visited Long Melford and the high street is indeed very long, probably 2 miles long at a guess. Wonderful church, stained glass windows, well worth a look. The village high street has an abundance of shops, art galleries, cafes and pubs. Lots to see...更多
Seek out the glorious stained glass windows which somehow escaped the Reformation (apparently they were too high for the iconoclasts to be bothered with). we had time to spare so decided to walk up to the church for a look. The interior was beautiful with lovely stained glass windows and floral displays. Well worth a visit.
An Impressive and wonderful Medieval church which stands out as you enter Long Melford. The stained glass windows are absolutely wonderful.
