Pleasant walks and great wildlife and some fantastic views, but made the mistake of coming here when it was really hot once so much better the 2nd time around still warm but overcast got to see a lot more of the place.
Nice little reserve just outside of Bury St Edmunds.

Was fortunate to only have to wait 10 mins for a photo opportunity of the Kingfisher. There are two nesting sites one at the visitor centre and another on a nearby lake. Plenty of hides and lovely lakes, pleasant nature reserve with lovely views.
We have been visiting the wonderful Lackford Lakes for about 4 years on and off during the seasons and have been lucky to see the Kingfisher, little egrets and herons perched on the large willow tree overlooking the lake. Great for children to spot.
