This a stunning house with beautiful gardens. The volunteers there were great and really enjoyed talking to us. We decided to have afternoon tea which was delicious (The Terry's chocolate orange cake was amazing!). Would highly recommend!
I went for the first time with relatives recently, after having lived in the area for years. It's a bit of a gem tucked off the main road. The house is bigger than it looks from the road, and the gardens (even in October) were lovely. For someone of my age (42), there were lots of examples of Terry's products... 更多
An interesting family home and beautiful gardens, celebrating the Terry family and their chocolate. The staff are friendly and informative.
I am not a National Trust member so paid to visit the house which cost around £6.00. I thought this was a fair amount to pay. The rooms and exhibits were interesting the staff were very pleasant and engaging. The gardens were lovely and I think you would be able to look round these without paying but maybe that would... 更多
I'd been meaning to visit here for some time despite driving past numerous times so finally made it. Not disappointed either as a real architectural gem of an arts and craft style of building. The furniture in it isn't what was in the house originally but in the same style of the era. There are rooms dedicated to the Terry's... 更多
We came across this gem of a 1920s Arts & Crafts family house by chance - and not long before it closed for the day. It was the home of the Terry family, and there was much fascinating information about them and their times. The guides were all friendly, informative and helpful, and did much to make this an extra-special... 更多
Visiting this house, which belonged to the Terry family, of chocolate fame, is a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. We are NT members and often find the smaller Trust houses more interesting than the large ones. A nice touch was sherry in the drawing room (at £2 a glass). However, it was rather difficult for us... 更多
I found our visit disappointing as the house lack the essence of the people who lived there. The house lacked furniture of the times and bedrooms didn't reflect the people who slept there. Too much displays and not enough character. This is in total contrast of the Treasurers House. At the very least the National Trust could get replicas and... 更多
