Stumbled on it whilst staying at Claridges. Some interesting monuments and a nice tranquil spot for a bit of peace in the centre of the city. Not far from oxford street and located in the heart of Mayfair. American embassy is impressive and overlooks the square.
This is a terrific park bordering the US embassy and many other foreign embassies. We stayed at the marriott hotel overlooking this park. Lucky buyers of the Four Seasons Residences next door will overlook this tranquil green space. There are many benches and trees with places to let your dogs run!
Located in the center of Mayfair, the most elegant district of London, this is a beautiful and historic square. It was first developed during 1725 and it was one of the most fashionable residential addresses in London. Nowadays, the square is currently encircled by embassies and neo-Georgian mansion blocks.
So so close to Mayfair...a quiet spot in hectic London, this tiny square is an ideal spot to catch the sun at any time of day. It Is a beautifully quiet spot and well worth a visit if you are staying in the area...or passing through.
Passed through here on my recent visit to London. The place was packed with protestors as it was the occasion of the US presidential inauguration and plenty of people were objecting. Actually the demonstration itself was quite interesting to see. The US embassy building is functional and ugly but the rest of the square is quite appealing. Worth a look... 更多
This is a beautiful inner city park. The grounds a kept clean and tidy. The main attraction here is the 9/11 memorial for all the British citizens who lost their lives during the attack. The memorial is lovely and makes the park worth seeing if you're close by.
This would be a marvellous picturesque square if it wasn't for the American Embassy. However they are due to move so I wonder what will happen to it and the statue of FDR facing it in the gardens.
On a nostalgia visit to our old neighbourhood, we returned to Grosvenor Square. It is a beautiful green space in Mayfair. Grosvenor Square is flanked on one side by the US Embassy. The Canadian High Commission used to be across the square, but it is now being turned into luxury condominiums. Lots of memories from the past.
Park is very beautiful and peaceful. There is a monument to the UK victims lost in the 9/11 attacks against America that is lovely!
Lovely place to stop over to sit and relax after a busy shopping spree from the nearby Oxford Street. Lots of birds, quiet and peaceful.
