A small museum with slightly odd opening times-mainly because it is run by volunteers who do a brilliant job. Saying that, it really could do with a bit of a refurb. You can see the exact laboratory where Flemming worked and made his discovery, but the video footage upstairs is on an old telly with bad sound and the poster... 更多

This is a small museum in a wing of St. Mary's Hospital on Praed Street, 5 minutes walk from Paddington Station, where Alexander H. Fleming discovered penicillin in 1928. It is a reconstruction of the tiny laboratory where he worked. On the floor below is the Welcome centre, on the floor above a series of panels putting the discovery into... 更多

Hidden and not so easy to find, very near to Paddington station, it was like stepping into a time-machine. We were guided by a historian who is researching at the hospital and he was very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed this short visit very much.

We visited this museum because we had a very short period of time left before leaving London. The AFLM is located less than five minutes walk from Paddington Station. Don't be deterred by the poor signage outside but once you get to the entrance of the hospital you will be able to follow the signs leading to it. The good... 更多

Really interesting atmospheric museum, a small laboratory but it feels like you are touching history being in the place where penicillin was discovered. Well worth a visit, a hidden treasure.

A very small museum set inside a working hospital. You can visit the very room where Fleming discovered 'mould juice' or penicillin as it became known as. The lab is kept dusty on purpose and although set up as a museum only 24 years ago, features some of Fleming's own equipment. It is very atmospheric. Another room has further information... 更多

I had my own personal tour. A small but very interesting museum in the middle of St Mary's Hospital. You see the lab of Mr Fleming and his tools and other instruments. There is also a 10 minute film and quite a lot of information to read. Do not go if you are not interested in Mr Fleming or the... 更多

For such an important discovery which impacted on millions of people worldwide, this is such a short and insignificant museum. It's hidden away in St Mary's hospital and it the actual room where Fleming made his discovery. Lots of historical items to look at. I was annoyed that pictures are not allowed because I can't for the life of me... 更多

I spent a great time in the Alexander Fleming Museum. The museum is small but really interesting even if you are not a medical profesional. It should be noticed that in this small laboratory is where took place one of the most important discovery in medical field: the penicillin. Don´t miss how Alexander Fleming found this antibiotic, it´s really funny.... 更多

visited the museum after a recommendation from a laboratory colleague. Just £4 to enter , the curator and other volunteers that run the museum are extremely knowledgable. Great to see the laboratory and all the old equipment, this would be a great little history lesson for anyone and extremely interesting for those working as healthcare professionals. The hospital is a... 更多
