Mayburgh Henge is located just off the old A6 road at Eamont Bridge on the south side of Penrith. It is basically built as a sort of e amphihteatre-like structure entirely built of millions of river pebbles. The structure is circular, about 100 metres in diameter, with an apparent entrance from one side. It seems as though it was built... 更多
We had a nice walk to the henge from Arthur's table. Was worth the walk to have a little look at the henge. Sites like this always feel quite magical first thing in the morning. Worth a visit if your in the area. Probably not worth a special trip there as there's only one stone left.. it doesn't cost anything... 更多
This is hard to find and when you eventually do find it there's not much there.wouldnt waste an hour of your time trying to find it as its not worth it.just situated outside penrith

Not sure what exactly I was expecting, but not what I found. What blew me away was trying to figure out not only why, but how on earth they did it. The work and effort involved to produce something so massive, transporting and stacking all those stones, would have been immense. It was beyond imagining, but for all that effort,... 更多
