Well worth visiting as is truly historic and quite moving to see inside such an old church; not open every day but do try and see it or go to a service. A real gem!
What a lovely old church, but now damp and showing signs of real decay. We were welcomed by the volunteer staff and enjoyed seeing the interior, but came away feeling sad.
The Church of St. Mary the Virgin is said to be the oldest church in Hull, when you step through the door it certainly feels that way. Located on Lowgate in the city centre the church is well worth a visit. The floors are uneven...更多
We were walking around Hull and came across this. The church has an arch over the footpath, which makes an impressive sight. Great architecture. Worth a look just for this.
