Free to enter, my first impression was of light and space. Much of the architecture looks Norman to my untrained eyes, with the ornate rounded arches predominating rather than the narrow pointed Gothic versions. The other impression is of colour. Some comes from the stained glass, some old and some modern. There are brightly painted tombs and some more muted... 更多
We spent a good few hours in Hereford Cathedral (preferred it to Worcester), as there is so much to see, and we enjoyed a very good and reasonably priced tour at the start of our visit. There are so many lovely features at Hereford but we especially enjoyed the Lady Chapel. The whole building has a very warm and inviting... 更多
We were in Hereford for the weekend and were drawn back again and again to the beautiful cathedral. The cafe offers lovely food and if you're lucky enough to hear the choir, definitely take time stop and listen.
A classic English Cathedral, that has been loved for centuries. Rebuilt and refurbished as needed, it stands a tribute to the faith and loyalty of Hereford. Also housing the Chained Library and the Mappa Mundi, it is a real treasure. The display is educational and interactive. The cafe offers a lovely spot for tea. Don't miss any of it.

Hereford cathedral was interesting and the new stained-glass windows which can be found in a chapel to the right of the altar are a 'must see,' breathtakingly beautiful.
Free entry with a request for a voluntary donation. Stunning architecture dating to the Norman period around 1000 years ago. Beautifully preserved building with many interesting features. A separate exhibition with an entry fee is available from within the cathedral to see the Mappa Mundi and the chained library.
When in Hereford, not to be missed! fantastic building oozing history and if your not sure what your looking at, always a well informed guide on hand to explain. So looking forward to seeing the SAS window when finished and looking forward to my next visit.
