I travelled to Brighton on a Cooks coach, I decided to travel on the Volks railway. The cost to seniors is £2-90 return to Black Rock. It was well worth the visit, but the two car train was crowded. This is an early example of an electric railway. Recommended.
Volk's Electric Rail is worth the few bob they charge. You get a lovely view of the beach and the esplanade leading up to the marina where there's plenty of places to have some English Fish & Chips AND Mushy Peas.
And right here on our doorstep. It's a fun way to get along towards the Marina (if you really insist on visiting it) or to get to the start of the Undercliff Walk. There's something in it for adults and kids alike. Definitely recommended for visitors to Brighton.
