Not just about fishing! There's also lots interesting information, images, films and objects relating to the history of the beach, the swimming club and the Pier. It's free and definitely worth taking a break from the beach to have look!
Maybe I am a bit naive but I never really think of Brighton as being a fishing port but I suppose in the past it would need to have been this to provide industry.

A small and interesting museum telling the story of the local fishing industry.
It is well worth popping in and spending some time understanding the industry and the impact on the local community.
It costs nothing to visit, however donations are appreciated.
