I think this museum is getting better and better. I do like how it hasn't remained the same, it changes and evolves over time. I took my kids and they just loved it. We spontaneously attended the Threshermen's Festival at the museum and loved it! They had antique farm equipment and tractors in action demonstrating how they operated back in the day. Bread being baked in a clay oven...fresh! Old fashioned ice cream demonstration. Operating black smith. Lots for kids. Really great!
We attend the thresherman show every year and it brings back alot of memories from growing up on the farm with my grandparents. What makes the threshermans weekend for us is my uncle and cousin who take part in the steam engines and tractor parade. It is something to watch.
My nephew and I spent Canada Day at the Western Development Museum in Yorkton, SK. It is always a great day as it is filled with hay rides, train rides, fishing wells (even if you are in the older category these are fun, fun, fun).
