Gives a very good perspective of what was life in the past with lots of actors and demonstration of numerous tasks of the time. Can easily spend a full day and not see everything. The Village is accessible directly from the neighbouring CEPAC Campground.
We took our granddaughter there for a visit and she just loved it but wished there were more people who spoke English or at least the write up and pamphlets could be. I spent half my day translating. Still had a great time.
Awful in every possible way: Rundown place, extremly expensive for what you get, terrible comedians, no entertainers shows whatsoever, shameful facilities (have seen better rest rooms in middle-of-nowhere gas stations). All in all, I want my 85$ and one hour of my life back!. Avoid this please, You will thank me later...
Overnited. Walked the river. Saw the church. Visited to this ambitious undertaking. But not even a piece of paper offered to translate anything into English. Come on. USA is a few miles away, what's with that? I guess no business is needed from other than Quebecers. Maybe that's the point.
we went to this place 25years ago wow this place really change it is a place you have to see hope you understand french still very interesting
If you have an interest in the yesteryear, this is well worth a visit. They have a children's section and a water play area that we skipped but still spent 4 hours visiting all the fully furnished buildings and talking to the costumed attendants. Be on the lookout for "James The Patent Medicine Peddler", a charming young man who will... 更多
If you are interested in having a look back in time into the french Canadian architecture, you will have a good time. You will see the various type of houses, churches, stores, etc. and there is a treasury hunt like games for children to will keep them interested in going around the village. I believe there is also a water... 更多
For those you are looking for windows of the past the village will impress you for the quality of the houses and furnitures, and the story telling from the actors. A bit expensive but there is so much to see. Expect a 4-ish hours visit if you want to see everything.
