The shopping market area is pretty large. If you enjoy the back and forth on buying stuff and getting quoted way to high a price and then offering lower and landing in the middle....this is a fun place to do that. Went to visit because the reviews talked about how this town reminds people of the PV of old. I did not feel the magic. I found it quite dirty, noisy and unorganized. I would have rather spent my morning elsewhere. Now, maybe all the people sitting by the beach drinking beer and tanning may thing otherwise ...
Quaint, quiet and interesting, Bucerias welcomes tourists and long-stay visitors. It's about as safe as other destinations on the Bay of Banderas (except possibly Puerto Vallarta). BTW, many of the restaurants are exceptional.
Was a longer walk than expected from hotel riu Vallarta, but was a quaint little village. After a wander round we discovered a nice little bar on the beach by the name of Karens bar, where we could have a drink and watch the dolphins and pelicans . Very pleasant way to spend a morning
Also known as BC-erias because of the large numbers of folks from BC who come here to escape the cold and rainy winter months. It's warm and sunny...people are happy and friendly. There's a multitude of inexpensive restaurants..fresh seafood.. the beaches are not crowded like Puerto Vallarta..the cost of living is much less than at home..everything you need is nearby..
An average beach experience surrounded by a small cobblestoned town square with restaurants and a smaill outdoor market. Restaurants along the beach all open onto the beachfront, and usually allow access to their lounge chairs for the day as long as you're a customer. Settle in early, get some cheap drinks, and enjoy the stay.
Just down the beach from the RDC hotel this is still small town Mexico. usual mix of Bars and restaurants with a market. Well Worth a visit.
