The museum located on the waterfront at the pier where so many immigrants arrived was a very meaningful experience. Well worth while.

The museum isn't that big, really, but I'm glad I went. As an American, I saw it was Canada's equivalent to America's Ellis Island. Had a nice free guided tour, but the guide tended to repeat himself. There's a nice film at the end of...更多

Enjoyed the photos and accounts of this historical location where so many people from other parts of the world, especially Europe and the UK, immigrated to Canada. They have done a nice job of retaining this part of our history.
This is the Ellis Island of Canada in downtown Halifax. What a splendid museum with lots of fascinating exhibits, photos and even a railroad car!! A visitor can spend several hours learning that Canada's experience was not so different from America's. And that the contributions...更多
