We stopped at The Dark Tickle Company on our way to Quirpon Island (reviewed by me separately).
The owner gave us a presentation on the wild berries harvested in the area and on the products (Tasty!!) made from these berries by the company.
While I actually love fried food--once a month--the cafe at Dark Tickle serves as the perfect break from such fare. Surrounded by historical displays of a French expedition to the area, the dining area is as tasteful as the delicious sandwiches and soup. Even better...更多
The gift shop, and the treats were hard to choose from. After a presentation on berries, by the owner was enjoyed by everyone. We were introduced to his two Newfoundland dogs who seemed to like all the attention the tour group could give.
Great store with amazing selections of jams made with local berries and the food here is wonderful. I just had an amazing sandwich. Idella made me a wonderful panini with Ham + rhubarb pickle and partridgeberry relish! Absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend you stop...更多
Now this is different. A museum on premises, a viewing window where you can watch the jellies and jams being produced, a small cafe area, and of course, gifts/crafts, and berry products for sale. You can even take a tour in back on a trail...更多
