It was good to wander in and out of the shops. Much had a historic feeling. Unique little stores along with good eating and drinking places.

I live here in Edmonton. old Strathcona is a fabulous place for visitors and locals. Great restaurants, Shopping, Pubs. The Market every Saturday. Specialty events such as The Fringe in August. Art Shows. Blocks of fun! something for everyone!

It used to be fun to walk along Whyte Ave but many of the stores have closed leaving just a handful of stores I consider worth visiting. I think they need to revamp this neighbourhood again. Some of the blocks are seedy actually.

Worth spending a few hours. Check out the market. Lots of restaurants, bars and cultural venues. There are some unique boutiques not found in the malls for shopaholics.
