As you may be wondering, this place is quite big, you will walk a lot and you will need water every 15 minutes, but the visit is worthy if you are an animal lover. The only bad thing is that the poor creatures looks a little bit abandoned, but your visit will contribute to make their lives better.
This city it's not even the capital of the State but sure this atraction would make you think it is. You can even experience a Safari Tour within the park. All animals are free of cages and attractions besides animals make a nice experience for the entire family.
The zoo has many unusual animals not seen in the US. Nice shady walkways, lots of flowers and birds. A great Safari tram ride among free roaming giraffes, Mexican longhorns, deer, ostriches, etc. (costs a few extra pesos) also an area of rides if you are there with children. We spent a couple of hours at the zoo and it was thoroughly enjoyable. Some of the enclosures for the big cats in particular are a little small it overall the conditions in which the animals are kept are very good and they are in excellent condition. Although the habitats are a bit smaller than I would like, the place is beautiful. They have a lot of space, trees and wander the place is a pretty nice experience. Wear comfortable shoes. And consider taking some food to make a picnic. The even have a special picnic section you can use. I had a lovely day visiting this... 更多
