This tour starts in Santiago where passengers are picked up for the long bus ride to the mine location. One hour later, we were joined by tour guide, Marco Ramirez, a former miner. As we entered the facility, we were transported into the past to Chile's number one industry. The camp was HUGE. We saw where people use to live,... 更多
A cold but pleasant breeze will welcome you to a place full of history, memories and culture. It is normal to feel overwhelmed, time stopped here, creating an atmosphere of time travel that will make you feel nostalgia and curiosity, a World Heritage Destination that you can not miss!

I've reviewed my trip elsewhere on this site. It's well worth a visit but you'll probably need to contact Ignacio at VTS Tours in Rancagua. It costs around US$40 there and back from Santiago.

As I mentioned earlier I went to Sewell and El Teniente some years ago. No more El Tteniente, visits were stopped about four years go. Having read the reviews it seems the day now is made up with extraneous activities which we are not interested in. As a place Sewell is worth seeing and I would recommend it but it... 更多
