This is worth your time! We went twice while staying on the island. We saw hundreds of fish, many in large schools hidden in the beautiful and healthy coral. There were huge angelfish, parrotfish, barracuda, and colorful damselfish, pufferfish, and Sargent majors....just to name a few.
This is a drift snorkel. They drop you off at one end of the rocks and reef area. The boat floats along nearby. We went early in the morning while it was calm and not crowded. The water is 8-12 feet deep.
We saw a ton of fish. Lots of baracuda in the area along with the usual reef fish....
saw plenty of variety of fish at el farito while on our group snorkeling trip last week. Saw coral reefs, angel fish, star fish, barracuda & many other small colorfull fish. will definitely go back again.
This seems to be the place where many snorkeling hotel trips come to show fish to the tourists.

With the strong current you do not even need to swim as you drift across from where you jump in to the place where the boat will you up....
