These ruins were right next to our hotel. It's small, but free and you can climb up to the top, so we enjoyed it. I would recommend it if you are staying nearby.
These ruins are nice to see, but since they are on the grounds of the Westin, they're a bit complicated to get to. They are officially government property, but the security guards at the Westin will stop you and have to escort you to the ruins if you're not a guest at the hotel.
Yamil Lu'um or the Scopion's Temple is a small Mayan ruin that sits perched above the beach right in the hotel zone between the Westin Lagunamar and the Park Royal. It's also right across the street from La Isla Mall. We stayed at the Beach Palace, so we just walked down the beach, about a 5 minute walk with young... 更多
Super small ruins with 1 sign that has a general explanation of the ruin. Overall, it was cool to see. However, definitely small. We did see 2 iguanas after some searching. Getting there was kind of a pain. It looked like the only access was through hotels. We were stopped by a guard at a hotel. After explaining what we... 更多
This is a cool but small Mayan temple right on the beach right in the Zona Hoteleria in Cancun. The whole thing was about the size of our hotel room. We were staying next door at Live Aqua; I walked to the front entrance of the Westin, and the security guard escorted me to the site. It is pretty neat... 更多
This is a nice small ruins next to the Westin Hotel. You must stop at the front desk or the gate to let them know you are going there. They will either tell you where to go or have someone escort you there. The ruins have a beautiful site of the beach and very limited picture taking opportunities as there... 更多
lovely little set of ruins on the beach between 2 hotels. we had to walk though one hotel to get to it but luckily the security guard from the hotel was nice and let us walk though to get to it! Free and nice to photograph.
Great place to visit is you want to see and photograph Iguanas, the best place to see them is a small wooded area below the ruin's with access from the beach. You get to the temple ruin's via the hotel and when at the top there are excellent views of the beach and coastline.
My wife and I visited Yamil Lu'um twice. The first time, we visited in the afternoon and were ran off by the iguanas. The next day, I got up early and walked around with no problem. I took my wife back and there were larger iguanas, but I made her see it. Through the heat, it was a nice visit... 更多
