The first time I went there, we got lost. We had no guide so :D Instead of going along side the river we actually hiked up the waterfall...how scary! Please get a tourguide to help with this. The more the merrier.
Great fun with our amazing guide Zahar. We enjoyed the combination of land and river hike up the river; when we made it to the top of the falls, that was just breathtaking!
Make sure you take a guide with you on this beautiful hike up the white river. We didn't and we are probably intermediate hikers. The trail isn't really there anymore, so you are following the river. However, It's a gorgeous hike, that I highly recommend, just be prepared before you go.
We hiked this today with our guide Isreal. The road to Boetica and Delices had been closed for 4 months after the passing of tropical storm Erica. The road is open now, however one of the main road bridges is still out and there is another back road around. I assure you, you can get there but you will want... 更多
But I definitely recommend a guide! I don't think I would have been able to find this on my own. We went with Jungle Bay, so we didn't have to worry about any logistics. The waterfall is impressive and much larger than the others we visited. I found the hike to be pretty easy and acessible, although it did require... 更多
Get a guide. Get a guide. Get a guide. I am an experi need hiker. You will not find your way without a guide. If your hotel does not have one, grab someone from Jungle Bay close by.
We visited many of the other waterfalls in Dominica and enjoyed them immensely, but we can't recommend Victoria Falls. The owner of the hotel we stayed in highly recommended hiking to Victoria but with a guide, which she said wouldn't cost much. We couldn't find Moses, the recommended guide, but we were approached by a couple of young men who... 更多
Victoria Falls Having experienced the Boiling Lake hike first, I'd refer to this as a quick, simple hike. And I'd say there was more scrambling than hiking. Best shoes would be solid water shoes or vibrams; hiking shoes aren't necessary. A few did it with bare feet. Pack light; other than a light towel and small water bottle, you won't... 更多
We hiked with a group from Jungle Bay and it was a fun, moderately challenging hike due to the water-in some places waist deep, and some large rocks to climb. Once you get to the falls, which are beautiful, there is a great pool to swim in. Be sure to bring a towel and wear shoes that have non-slip soles... 更多
