This beautiful sanctuary is home to hundreds of rescued animals and makes a fantastic day out for animal lovers. Check the website for open days throughout the year as it only opens to the public at certain times. All profits from the gift shop go directly to the animals, and the staff/volunteers are so grateful for the support.
Free parking. Only £6-00 entry fee. Gift shop and cafe. All the food is animal friendly. The sanctuary is massive and even has a telescope to view distant areas. This sanctuary was at west runton and the staff were very welcoming. The animals all had very sad stories and seemed well cared for and pampered. If you are travelling any distance to see this sanctuary. I would call ahead to see if they are open or allowing visitors. Total waste of time.
While on holiday we visited both Hillside animals centres, we had a great day lots of rescued animals all been well looked after with information boards around and we were able to pet them. Plenty of toilets hand washing stations and refreshments available with a reasonably priced shop. We were able to take our dog in. Well worth a visit... 更多
Visited both Hillside Animal Sanctuary sites as it was a special opening weekend. Had a lovely time. Over 2000 animal spread across the sites, so much to see, we could pet the animals too. Really interesting information boards displayed often around the farms. Farm shop and cafe was very reasonably priced, lots of bric-a-brac shopping opportunities if you want to... 更多
My wife and I live in the village where the sanctuary is situated. I must confess that though we visit it regularly, we do not pay but just pass through the public footpath that goes through it. Horses, goats, ponies, highland cattle... there is a lot to see,and they do a good work.
Had a great afternoon thanks. Lovely animals and my daughter just loved the horses so much (way more animals than I imagined) and not too pricey to get in. I don't understand one review below where it said was free entry as we paid?! All animals so very well looked after- lovely play area for the young ones too -... 更多
