The markets in Eleuthera were very limited in fresh local produce or baked goods. This was a bright spot. We loaded up on fresh vegetables, bread, cinnamon rolls and salsas. They were all great. A definite must go for fresh goods.
The Island Farm tries very hard to present high quality local produce and bakery goods, in a setting in which truck farming is very difficult. The effort is mostly successful, and deserves support as a source of food independence and local enterprise.

Get there early to buy Anne Bethel's home baked bread fresh from the oven on Tuesdays and Fridays during the tourist season. There's a very good selection of their own lettuce and herbs, as well as a variety of sauces. Very fair prices. Worth the...更多
