Little Cayman has protected much of it's reef and wall area for a long enough time that you notice how good the fish life is. More groupers here than anywhere else I've been in the Caribbean, with the exception of Cuba. Protection makes all the difference!!
We did our second dive here and it would be awesome for the first deep dive of the day - many swim throughs that go pretty deep - we had to be careful as our max bottom depth was 60 feet - I would go back again!
Cumber's has interesting swim-throughs that start around 50 feet and come out on the wall close to 100 feet. It has both coral-encrusted and sandy areas. In the sand, you will find southern rays, occasional eagle rays, garden eels, peacock flounder, yellow-headed jawfish and head shield slugs. We almost always see at least one hawksbill turtle and a nurse shark...
