The church was almost completely destroyed by Hurricane Ivan in 2004. After a delayed start, restoration is progressing as fast as the church can raise the funds to buy materials and cover labour costs. The roof is back on, new windows fitted, new pews installed,...更多
So a Hurricane blew the roof off the church years ago, and as far as I understood, it's still being used to have church services. The stained glass is really pretty and we made sure to get a couple of great photos here.
Finally the church has a brand new roof. Well worth a visit, very beautiful but easier to find if you dont look for a roofless church!
