This attraction is full of interest for all visitors. The location is a place to relax and unwind around a lake/pond occupied with a troop of very contented ducks. The Abbey, with its museum, is a place full of information and tranquility which enables the visitor to digest all you see. To give the visitor an even more relaxing break... 更多
nice pot of tea and scones, cream, butter, jam, served by dissabled people nice to see them working in comunity, cafe rather drab abd very cold in winter, nice place to visit in summer
Location open ONLY on a Saturday 11-12 for guided tours. Well worth the wait. Fascinating and informative history provided by one of the 13 nuns.
We stayed at the HI Express and wandered down to Minster Village on a cold Saturday morning. The Abbey sits back behind the Church of St Mary in spiritual & respectful recognition to the first place of Christianity in England, which arrived with St Augustine from Rome in the 597 AD. Unfortunately the Abbey was not open to see inside... 更多
A visit to the Abbey, and especially the Abbey Cafe with its unique staff is a fantastic way to relax and let the pressures of everyday life be forgotten for a while
Very nice and a peaceful interlude away from the normal hussle and bussle of live. Obviously not for everyone but would recommend taking a little time out to relax and visit
Actually attended a church service here and toured the facility. I find old churches in England/Europe fascinating and this did not disappoint.
A very peaceful and tranquil place to visit. During my visit the gardens were being looked after by young adults with learning needs who welcomed me enthusiastically. The cafe staff are very friendly and tea and cakes yummy. There is a lovely photographic exhibition of wildlife on at present that is well worth a visit. Definitely worth a return trip.
Minster Abbey is an amazing old building set in a couple of acres of beautiful maintained gardens with a large pond and plenty of ducks to feed. There is a superb Tea Room within the grounds serving some lovely cakes. Well worth a visit to this peaceful place.
