Went to Spago to try the (in)famous Diavola pizza. It was really good but not as spicey as we expected. Need to add chili oil next time!
Mediocre Italian food. Caesar to much mayo, not enough flavor, croutons soggy; soup was watery but had flavor, garlic bread served on flat pizza round. Atmosphere really nice but food is not up to the prices. We are sorry but too expensive for not very good Italian.
We stopped here on the spur of the moment. We were greeted pleasantly and service was prompt. Both our pasta dishes were good as was the desset ( chocolate cake and triamasu) . The music was excellent - Unplugged. We will try to go back again before we leave.
4 of us visited Spago. We all ordered pizzas and one asked for extra onion and another asked for extra anchovy. We were told they would charge $10 each for this. Sometimes you need a night off from the rich fare at the high end restaurants, and a pizza and ice cream at Spago is just the ticket. You'll find friendly, efficient service and a jolly but relaxed atmosphere in this popular chattel house pizzeria.
We only went here because we could get a table on the outside front decking. From there it's entertaining to see the evening crowds entering the various restaurants in this street. We sat on one of the tables outside, lovely atmosphere. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our starters and main courses. Wish we had found it earlier.
