Cozze are fresh and exceptionally local, picked outside the place. Unique recipe that we had is cozze with gorgonzola. The most famous are cozze tarantino. Great place, service and food!
It is an old restaurant with a long history. It was born as a small place for cleaning mussels and it is now the biggest place to eat in mazara. It can have up to 1000 guests over one night in summertime. Recently the traditional menu has expanded but I strongly recommend the classic mussels and octopus.
Quite the adventure - turned up just before 8:00pm with fifty people waiting outside and the doors not yet open. Did we need to book? How do we get a table?
