First time in southern/west coast Ireland & a visit to the village of Cong was recommended. We came by this place by chance. A fantastic cottage style refuge from the rain & how lucky we were to find it. Very small cottage turned into a café/restaurant. Very friendly staff selling good quality homemade ;local food. Family friendly. I think it... 更多
I've been here for a quick cup of coffee and I had the chance to try the homemade scones. Try the orange and poppy seeds, unmissable. The atmosphere is cosy too.
Exactly what we were looking for, genuine food but with a twist, the salads where delicous (try the one with the goat cheese!) but also the sandwich with the teryaki chicken..oh..and the cheesecake! too good to mention just one of those :)
My wife and I popped into the cafe for a coffee and scone after doing 'The Quiet Man' tour around Cong. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed the refreshments. After leaving, the young lady working there ran down the street after my wife who had left her phone behind. Thank you for noticing so quickly!
Absolutely lovely food and service.. we go there once a week and it never disappoints.. everything on the menu has so much thought put into it and it tells.. stunning!!
We stopped here for lunch and were charmed by the room, the lovely owners and fantastic meal. Everything my party ordered was thoughtfully prepared and presented, and deliciously fresh and flavorful. The baked goods are not to be skipped. We returned the next morning for coffees and treats for the car before we continued on your way. Well worth a... 更多
I was there twice over the long weekend; the food and service is top class. John and his wife will make sure you are well looked after. No laminated menus here; daily menus with great produce put up on the blackboard... All tasty stuff made up nice and fresh.
Because we were in Co Mayo for a wedding and we were near to Cong we decided to visit the Hungry Monk as we had seen it reviewed already on TripAdvisor as the place to eat and we were not disappointed as the venue was small, compact and very friendly with a great menu. The service was very good and the... 更多
We came here whilst on honeymoon for a quick snack and were really impressed. Warm and chatty staff - congratulations all round (!), great relaxed ambience and very good value. Definitely worth a visit!
Whether you are staying at Ashford Castle or just passing through Cong while visiting Ireland make a point to stop here. Its a little place with lovely service and delicious food.
Very pleasant place to have lunch. They have a tight menu which means everything is good. Owner is very pleasant & welcoming, food was excellent and will definitely come back again.
Fantastic menu, great coffee with healthy home cooking and catch up with friends and family via free wifii. Highly recommended.
Stopped by the Hungary Monk Café in Cong on the April bank holiday Monday. Though the menu is not extensive, what they do, they do well. My wife had the Goats Cheese, my m/i/l had the fish finger sandwich and I had the corned beef. All were delicious and you could tell ingredients were fresh throughout. Coffee was excellent and... 更多
Stopped here on the advice of a local. She said there's only two places she eats in town. Owner immediately chatted us up and made us comfortable. Potato soup was wonderful. He told us the salmon was smoked in the next town over and I was sold. It was melt in your mouth wonderful. My son had a pastrami sandwich... 更多
