Common Mediteranean food with good quality and fresh ingredients. Very nice personel, The interior could be made more artistic.
I lived in Italy (Rome) for two years in the late 70's and on our visit on Saturday 18th June this place was just like the simple, family run trattorie that I often went to. Don't expect a fine (and expensive) dining experience. This is good honest Italian food and wine with good service and it provides great value and... 更多
This trattoria is tucked out of the way of the crowds and is a simple family-run restaurant with good food and friendly service. I had the Pasta alla Carmine (which is actually Pasta, tomatoes, and eggplant). The pasta was fresh gemelli and really good. My husband had the pasta con gamberetti, and he said it was very good.
We just ate at this trattoria. Service- totally fine. Speed- tick Food- where to start? If fish is fresh, why char it to its death? We were told, in Italian, that all except the Thai imported shrimps were fresh. No worries. So why grill until its dry and stinks to high heaven? Everything on the mix seafood platter was disgusting,... 更多
I arrived early for lunch when an employee was writing the "menu for the day" on the chalkboard. He stopped what he was doing and came to my table to provide the meal service to me personally. The day's special was a mini-ravioli that was delicious.
We had lunch at this down-to-earth trattoria and the food didn't disappoint. I couldn't help but notice a group of ladies in the kitchen cooking away when I entered the restaurant. You could say the food is essentially mama's cooking or honest-to-goodness family food. It fills you up but is also full of flavours. We were impressed with the antipasto... 更多
Nothing fancy, but good food and plenty of it for a more than fair price. The antipasti della casa, 6 euros, was a meal in itself, with 11 different items. I knew I'd ordered too much food when my plate of mixed grilled seafood, 13 euros, arrived. It was heaped with swordfish, huge prawns, squid, and some tasty whole fish... 更多
Most of the upmarket restaurants wee closed for the season and this was near iyr B&B. We were glad not to miss it. It was a smalk understated menu but everything was well prepared and enjoyable. The hosts were attentive. The wine we ordered was obtained from a bearby enoteca.
We had sword fish with caponata and the mixed grilled fish plate, all excellent and for a moderate price. Very friendly service, spoke English, could translate the day's specials on the fly.
We had a delicious lunch at Trattoria del Carmine, with a fabulous selection of local antipasto; pasta Carmine with eggplant, tomatoes and cheese; and tuna caponata (sweet and sour). Reasonable prices for large quantities.
