A perfect end to a perfect week. Visited as part of a large group. Food was lovely, staff friendly and helpful and showed immense patience when we came to pay the bill in ones and twos. If I'm ever back in the area (and I hope i will be), I'll definitely call in for a meal.
It has a great menu and good service. Set menu is very reasonable with lots of traditional Scottish cuisine. Always very welcoming and happy for us to bring our 2 kids.
Loved the service, loved the people, loved the food! Hated our tour guides, Samantha & Scot of MacKenzie Adventures, aka The Jamie and Claire Tour
If you are going to serve fish, at least learn how to fillet it! The welcome we received when we stopped in to make reservations was cool and in different. Thought we would try it any way so kept our reservation, ( which they hadnt actually made!) The service was the same, the food mediocre at best. Don't waste your... 更多
the letterbox was recommended by the owners of the B and B we stayed at. the food was great, comparable to any first class Restaurant, staff were very friendly and helpful.
This is a lovely little restaurant run by a husband and wife team. The food was really good and although we felt the A la Carte menu seemed a little on the pricey side the 2 course set menu was excellent value. Generous portions, nicely presented and very tasty. Would definitely return.
Good food and great priices. loved this place. We will be back! The menu has a good variety of dishes. It was a bit of a shame they didn't have chicken stuffed with haggis on the menu! Next time???
My wife and I visited the letterbox over Easter. We did find it strange that only one Lady was doing all the running around. Maybe because it was Easter. We ended up taking the soup, which was really good. Overall the service was really good, as was the food. Make a point of sampling the home made bread..
This small but well thought out modern estaurant on the main street in Newtonmore is a surprising treat for the visitor. Nothing overstated quite simple but the food is exceedingly well cooked and presented. Plenty choice on the menu the wait between courses suggested it was made from fresh ingredients. Delightful and not overpriced
A quiet spot with superb food. A clean sleek look and contemporary menu with a Scottish theme/twist. Very good value for money in this wee village in the stunning surroundings of the highlands of Scotland !
