Great service frm the Filipino staff! Very friendly, fast and efficient. Noodles were great, wasnt really amazed with the ox tail specialty soup.
Loved the oxtail soup. Although the décor was simple, the oxtail soup was amazing. Can't wait to go back to try again. My son, who is super picky, loved the Loco Moco. :)
Most of the customers are local folks. There are daily specials including oxtail soup and Kalbi. Cost is not cheap, but portions are ample. Free parking on premises. Not a fancy restaurant to take a date, but adequate for family night out on the town.
Would have probably never tried this restaurant on my own, but we went here on a food tour and I am SO glad we did. We tried the Oxtail Soup and I have been thinking about it ever since. It was AMAZING, one of my favorite dishes from Hawaii.
Located in Kaakaako on Ward Avenue, it was a busy lunch hour with lots of people ordering take out. The inside seats were all taken with a waiting line. we arrived about 6 PM to have dinner before Janet Jackson concert. There was a party of 8 and only 2 was present. They told the workers there will be there in 3 mins. The 2 was seated and they other 6 was did not show within 3 mins. meantime there was a line and was raining. The other customers... 更多
The Asahi Grill is a small restaurant, pretty close to the definition of a hole in the wall... I have been in places that are definitely holes in the walls (like Ethel's Grill), but Asahi Grill is a step up... Parking is limited around Asahi Grill... The service is good and fairly quick. We tried the Ox Tail Soup.... it... 更多
We enjoyed the food and the prices were low. The place really needs a little touch up and a little paint. The menu could be cleaned up and the paper taped to the tables could be removed. Try it and you may find the food is enough.
We regularly come to Asahi Grill for lunch but today we went here for a very early dinner. The place needs a facelift but we don't mind because it's clean, service is friendly, and the food is good. Tonight we had their popular oxtail soup (which rivals The Alley's oxtail soup) and the saba (mackerel) fish entree with brown rice,... 更多
