very close to ilikai, very local, fantastic value, japanese beer by the jug and very authentic food highly recommended
It is strange to complain about price when food is so expensive in Japan, but this seemed expensive in the U.S. Food was good. Service was very good.
We discovered this place last year. It's away from all the chaotic Waikiki area so definitely in more of a peaceful location. The service and food are more authentic Japanese and Izakaya style. This time we went there for lunch, my fiancé had the teriyaki chicken dish and I had the Japanese bbq steak dish. His was absolutely beautiful!! However... 更多
We stop here many times during each yearly visit to Oahu and we're never disappointed. The prices have remained constant with draft beer $2.50 during the lunch hour. My wife usually orders the choinomi and mackerel set and I get the tonkatsu set. Service is excellent. Recommend for those desiring good inexpensive Japanese fare.
First of all the location is ideal if you are staying in the Hawaiian Village resort and the food is very good. I enjoyed various selections of sushi and sashimi topped of with hot sake. The chef was excellent and the food was prepared and served quickly even though the restaurant was packed. There are other choices for similar food... 更多
We went to this restaurant during our previous visit to Hawaii & considered it an excellent casual eatery serving high quality Japanese fare. Since that time management has upgraded the furniture which has done wonders to the appearance of the restaurant, but more importantly the food quality has remained first class & still inexpensive. An added bonus is a better... 更多
Nice selection of Japanese food (sushi, teishoku, izakaya items) and drinks (draft beer, sake, shochu) at an affordable price. Our family enjoyed our dinner which was also reasonably priced. Service was great too.
We stopped here for a quick meal before heading off to the airport for our flight home. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food fresh and tasty.
The service was rushed, the food was average at best (and overpriced) and then they had the audacity to include the tip in our final bill. Would neither eat there nor recommend it
We were staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village for a conference, and wanted some simple, quiet sushi. Magokoro is a 5 minute walk through the Hilton (although Google won't walk you through the Hilton). The restaurant is tiny. Nearly everyone in the restaurant was Japanese, and it felt as Japanese as that little sushi bar we stopped at in Kyoto... 更多
