It was very nice to sit outside and look out over the beach and see with a drink and some cake. A great stop during a walk along the coastal path. Didn't get to sample the outside cooking but it was being set up when we were their and there was a lot of effort going into setting it up.... 更多
After seeing reviews and coverage by the press my wife badgered me for 12 months to go here. What's the fuss ? It's a shed in a nice location selling very expensive food which you could buy anywhere Sorry not for me
Food always tastes so much better after a bracing walk. Hidden hut provides an oasis in cold but also in the bright sun. Simple is best - cakes, pasties, teas, coffees and ices. Hidden Hut has THE location.
Walked, found it, queued up..... only to see the cook dip his spoon three times in soup to taste without changing / cleaning spoon. Felt totally repulsed, extremely poor hygiene. Never again. Left.
Within the sand dunes immediately above Porthcurnick beach the setting (on 15th April) for the advertised Beef Asado Feast at The Hidden Hut was intensified by the spectacular sight of Chef Simon Stallard turning enormously large cuts of beef on a proper brick-built parrilla. This showed great respect for the celebrated Argentinian slow way of cooking beef where logs are... 更多
we took the SW coastal path from our caravan club website stop with amazing views of the coast, and headed for the Hidden Hut for our lunch and afternoons' rock-pooling on the beach. The queue to be served was reassuringly long but not too arduous (even in the breeze), and the home made chilli more than made up for the... 更多
We only knew to go looking for this place because of the Caroline Quentin programme about Cornwall, but we're glad we did. The people that run it are lovely, and the food (although very limited options) was excellent. We had a lovely beef chili with flat breads. They only take cash, but we're happy to let us start a tab,... 更多
Had a lovely lunch here last summer. It's very off the beaten track and very weather dependant but we visited on a scorching hot day. It was extremely busy but worth the queue. Large communal tables and benches, with little vases of flowers. Beautiful, fresh, simple food at very reasonable prices. We will deffinitely visit again!
Eaten here a few times. Delicious home made food. Very rustic sitting outside on long benches with flowers and stunning view. Outdoors so need half decent weather.
W e drove down a little lane on Easter satuaday parked in the lane and went a walk on the beach looking up on the hill side was a cafe, decided to go and have a drink of coffee while ordering the drinks I asked if this was the cafe/restaurant from the TVs series it was. A great little cafe excellent... 更多
Think the food is excellent and the view is amazing but the queue was too long. We waited 45 mins to be served. They did apologies for the wait but think they are obviously very popular and could do with some more help. We knew that they didn't serve wine so brought our own, something others may not be aware... 更多
We had lunch here this week, nothing short of excellent, we had steak in focaccia Rosemary rolls with mustard mayo and rocket, really simple but well done food. our daughter had the sausage rolls (described as the best she has had) followed by cake and ice cream (not together - but both superb). Coffee was great quality too, something which... 更多
