Eating here is like eating at someone's home. Delicious homemade cooking with friendly service! They spice their own chai tea and it's wonderful on a cold night!
Nice buffet choices for lunch. Not greasy or heavy like typical Indian restaurants in the U.S. Flavorful. Some items were a bit salty, and desserts are too sweet. Better than expected service.
Malabar is one of the oldest Indian food restaurant in Richmond. It's better than a small joint restaurant set aside behind lauderdale drive near short pump. The South Indian (Dosa's) food is I believe the best so far in Richmond and same goes for some North Indian dishes as well. Their Paneer Tikka Masala, Ennai Kathrikai is superbly delicious. I... 更多
My family went here for lunch on a Saturday. When we walked in, there were no other customers, which worried us, but many more people came later. There was the smell of Indian food when we walked in. Malabar has lots of local competition and can get overlooked, but each time I come here, I find the service & food excellent. They are better able to accommodate the different preferences that my husband & I have for spiciness - my husband likes spicy while I prefer mild. This is one of the very few Indian restaurants I have... 更多
If you like spicy this is the place for you. If you don't like spicy, also the place for you. if you're unfamiliar with Indian cuisine- ask. They have something on the buffet for you. and the Naan - fresh, delicious and buttery... writing this is making me hungry...
A richmond institution for past several years. I must admit that we takeout from here all the time. I thought it was time to finally give them a review. We always order too much and I'm constatanly reminded how well everything is prepared. You can taylor the spiciness to your personal taste and I have yet to have them miss... 更多
This restaurant has the best Indian food I've ever had outside of London and New York!Make sure to get one of the Chat appetizers and ask for their coconut curry too. Fabulous family run and superb food. Worth the detour from 64 just a mile from the short pump mall.
