We stumbled upon this little place quite by accident. Are we glad that we did. Great beer selection and awesome crawfish. The oysters were the best we had in all of NOLA. Both raw and chargrilled. So succulent and tender. My only regret is that we didn't go back again. Next time we will for sure.
Mounds of seafood. Fried artichoke hearts. Cajun corn balls (something like a hushpuppy but with crawfish inside). Huge onion rings. If you like seafood in vast quantities with a local flare and you like to get away from the tourist to the neighborhoods of a city, this place is for you. If you want to eat with the other hordes... 更多
Fabulous down home restaurant. Had the crawfish and enjoyed the local beer. The special was black eyed peas and rice which was delicious. The salad dressings are homemade and wonderful. This place should be profiled on triple D.
Happily surprised at the, sometime in the recent past, renovated Franky and Johnny's. Unrecognizable from the place I frequented in college over 20 years ago, the crawfish and beer were just as good as I remembered. I had heard dire things, but clearly that was before the remodel. Worth the trip if you are uptown.
This place was recommended to me when I was on vacation as a local's joint with great food. I wasn't too impressed by the food or the service. It was a happening place for dinner. If visiting NOLA, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. But, if you are in the neighborhood, it isn't a bad place... 更多
We had the pleasure of spending several weeks in NOLA at a house almost directly across the street from F and J's. We ate there countless times--fabulous red beans and rice, with smoked sausage, please; crawfish in season; crab cakes; shrimp; but best of all, charbroiled oysters. I will dream of these when I'm back in Boston. A simply wonderful... 更多
How could anyone say this place is dirty and they saw roaches???? Give me a break. Maybe you shouldn't come to New Orleans at all and dirty up this restaurants name. It's a classic. The service is ok, but just getting back from Europe its normal. The food is great and the atmosphere so authentic. Bad reviews about this place... 更多
We ate here with some friends who used to be locals. The food was good but not exceptional. Being from a seafood town (Mobile, Alabama), we have our fair share of fresh seafood so we weren't that impressed. The staff was friendly and service was fine. However, at the end of our meal, we noticed at least 5 roaches on... 更多
This is the real deal. I had a fantastic Po-Boy Sandwich and Cajun Crawfish balls. The service was excellent with real Southern Hospitality. Check it out for sure!
We found this restaurant online. We were a little skeptical due to the large number of complaints of poor/slow service. We decided to take a risk, thinking that the food must be good if they are still doing well with so many complaints about their service. When we arrived, we were also concerned with the look of the restaurant. As... 更多
Went to Frankie & Johnny's with a group of friends while in New Orleans for a conference. Definitely recommend getting the boiled crayfish and raw oysters. The crayfish were prepared perfectly, with just the right amount of spice and slow heat to them, and the raw oysters were very fresh and sweet. The only reason for not rating a 5... 更多
Franky & Johnny's is one of my favorite places to get a good bowl of Red Beans and Rice or a Po-Boy and my recent visit affirmed this in me. I had the Ferdi, which filled me with tasty goodness...such a great sandwich. Not to uncover my addiction, but the night before I had the Red Beans and Rice with... 更多
