I went to eat for dinner on Friday September 16th... The quality of the food was ok, but definitely too costly! Not very much impressed, sorry.
I've gone to to Sushi Ann a couple times now, and I will definitely be back. It is an excellent restaurant with exquisite sushi. I especially enjoyed the sashimi, it was so fresh, and just melted in my mouth. As others have noted in the reviews, the portions are not huge, but they are very high quality.
Lots of Japanese staff and the feeling of Japan in ambiance of the restaurant. I had a set lunch with ice green tea and it was perfect from the salad, to the miso to the sushi rolls to the grilled fish and green tea ice cream. A place to relax - a bit pricy but worth it
Yes, it is pricey, but you get some of the freshest and most authentic shush and sashimi in NYC. There is a large selection of very fresh fish and seafood and the presentation is always stunning. The sushi and rolls were good. It's better if you are on an expense account as it could be pricey. The restaurant has more quiet rooms for those on business.
First visit for me. I had the Chirashi for lunch and truly enjoyed it. The fish they served were really fresh and the rice perfectly cooked. I will definitely go back. Price is in line with other good sushi places in midtown Manhattan.
If you like the basics, this place will not disappoint. The fish was super fresh and well prepared. They have some basic rolls, but no special rolls, at least on the lunch menu.
