Last year, I stumbled upon this wonderful macaron bakery while exploring NY City on foot, and I STILL fondly think of it as my FAVORITE maker of macarons. I tried 6, and they were perfect...just perfect.
We stumbled upon this place by accident & will definitely be back next time we are in the city. The macarons are fabulous, wonderful variety. The chocolate croissant was great & we loved the relaxed atmosphere. It was mid afternoon so between "rushes" I think. My only complaint was the music that was playing was more like latin pop. Something... 更多
Perhaps it was the Friday lunchtime rush & the "seat yourself" endorsement, but it did take about 15 mins until someone actually recognised the fact that I was a new customer. Once I ordered the food was very quick to appear and it was quite delicious.
Great place to grab some soup and a sandwich, but the real highlight is the macarons. Every time I'm close I pop in for dozen - the cream filled versions like earl grey, caramel, and lavender/ honey are my favorites! You can also pick up their cookbook if your tempted to try them at home.
If you are a macarons fan like me and live in New York or are just visiting, you have to check out the MacarOn Cafe. Excellent macaron shells with good crust outside but just enough softer chewy inside - perfectly baked so you can see the little feet at the base of the shell. Filling is just right amount to... 更多
Read about it so wanted to check it out. The prices were a bit high but I thought I'm here so guess I should. I went in not too long before closing so it was quiet and calm. The server was friendly and pleasant. I had a pumpkin/cinnamon, lavender, and matcha. :)
Wasn't quite sure what to expect when we entered the small cafe, but was very thrilled afterwards. The macaroons are very different from the coconut macaroons we were use to. Not as sweet but pretty colorful & very tasty. Would recommend to friends.
We have stopped here to get some refreshment. Service was quick, we liked the atmosphere. Good selection of macarons, yummy coffees, fresh juices and sandwiches! 6 macarons for $15, espresso $2.50, cappuccino for around $4, fresh juice $4.50.
Having shopped ourselves silly in New York, we just wanted to find a nice little place for lunch. Macaron looked inviting from the outside and proved to be delightful inside. We both had the most delicious and interesting salads, followed by a yummy brownie and finishing up with good coffee and an exquisite macaroon. The staff were friendly and helpful... 更多
This cafe and its macarons disappointed me. The place is chaotic, and the hostess not-exactly-near-the-door barking at me didn't help any. I didn't want a table, I just wanted a box of macarons to take home. The signs in the display case were poorly angled, so it was hard to read the flavor names, and the staff that first keeps... 更多
