Ate here with my friend while on a city break, arrived in the afternoon and got a table right away. Shared chicken nachos to start, delicious and very filling followed with shrimp fajitas, delicious all washed down with coconut mojitos which were amazing. Small but with great atmosphere and delicious authentic Mexican food
Even after reading reviews on Trip Advisor it was even smaller than I thought but hit there at the right time and got a table right away. Don't let the size or volume sway you, which,if you're young it probably won't. My wife had a chicken burrito and I a chicken fajita. Great Mexican food and reasonable.
In my view good Mexican can be hard to come by in big cities. This place just crushed it. The menu is diverse and well priced. I had the chilaquiles which was AMAZING! The service was way above average for a midtown location. Only problem is that this place is tiny. We got crazy lucky and scored a table quickly... 更多
The food is very good, the service is fast and friendly, not too expensive, the only negative point is the loudness of the other costumers due to the small room !
Oh boy, you seriously have to get the fried plantain if you're eating at El Centro. It's so delicious, I could get 5 sides of it and nothing else!!! But the other food is really good too and you will not leave disappointed. It's terrific, friendly mexican with fresh food and tasty veggies too.
Genuinely the best Mexican food I've eaten and better than what I had in Mexico. That said, I can't comment on the authenticity, but it certainly hit all the right buttons for me. All the usual Mexican dishes we are familiar with including enchiladas, fajitas, chilaquiles, and burritos feature heavily on the menu. The food was full of flavour, well... 更多
This is a great Mexican restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. The food is delicious, but not huge (which made me happy), and our waiter was very friendly and funny too! I recommend this restaurant:)
We come back every time we visit NYC. This place can get very busy and loud, but the food and service is worth the wait. Margaritas are better than average. The food is tasty and great value compared to the overpriced options in the area. The service staff is great.
Okay... I am mexican...and this food.. is not your traditional authentic mexican, but it tries! If your looking for authentic, this is not the place. If your looking for similar and NOT taco bell... this it it! one thing...The margaritas are too die for... if you like strong flavorful margaritas...this is it, they have several flavors...which are out of the... 更多
YES! Chilequiles were as yum as everyone says! The best guacamole I have ever tasted - perfectly ripened avocados, fresh jalopeno and something different herb wise... Whatever it was, it worked. Loud, tables close together, and none of that was a bad thing here. Good crowd, good service, fair prices.
Crowded, bustling restaurant with a long queue when we arrived but we were seated within 15 minutes. Good fresh food and great choice of Mexican and other beers
