Very dark room place, mainly because of the wooden panelling. Always busy. The reason for that is that they serve a good selection of beer, and speciality cocktails. The staff are courteous and knowledgeable.

Have stopped by the House of Shields quite a few times over the years (decades). It's a great old joint...small, atmospheric, good drinks...very much The City. Old timers like me were terrified when it was "remodeled" a few years back but, I must say, they did a really nice job...preserving all the old while giving the place a needed upgrade... 更多
