A great place to eat if you love the arrogance and rudeness that normally is only found with Paris waiters. The food is good though, albeit overpriced.

Found this place on day 2 and went back everyday after,coffee is very good and pastries are awesome. must try if in the area. This is a very cool area with great shops and restaurants
Best place in all of SF for a good latte and pain au chocolate. Also great sandwiches and salads. but really this place is about the coffee and patisserie
La Boulange has great coffee, but my most favorite item on their menu was an old fashioned bread pudding, which was out of this world. Glad we stumbled upon this little place. The croissants were delicious and the mini baguette sandwiches were perfect for a small lunch. We tried many macaroons in the city and these were by far our favorite. Had some every day we were there.
I would not have come here if I had known that Starbucks have bought it out. I hate chains, especially chain coffee shops. Without that knowledge, I enjoyed my lunch at La Boulange on Union Street.
