Comfortable lounge offering live entertainment on many nights by local, and excellent performers. Don't miss it.
Not much dining out going on in Hana, so this is probably your best bet. The appetizers (which were off the main dining room menu, not the bar menu) were fantastic. As were the Scallops off the main dining menu. The Fish Sandwich on the bar menu was overcooked, the bun was dry... so, if you avoid that, you can... 更多
The best part of this attractive indoor/outdoor lounge/bar is the friendly atmosphere and family fun when Leokane Pryor, CJ Helekahi and Uncle Boise treat guests with a selection of traditional and newer songs, often accompanied by the lovely Aunty Carol and other guests. It's worth the trip to Hana.
Fun to just sit at the bar and people-watch. Sometimes it's slow, depending on the season and day of the week, other times it's quite busy...but the best time is when they have live, local music. You can eat in here, too...
Staying at Travaasa Hotel. Second night had terrific , big, cheeseburgers and fries. Great drinks!! Service very slow, but since there is nothing else to do, who cares? The live music (Wed-Sun) by two local guys just made it all that more pleasant.
We ate in the lounge for more informal feel. The singer and the woman doing hawaiian dances made the night. Nothing glitzy like the luau, real honest music. You could choose between the bar menu and the dining room menu. Beet salad (lots of beets)and Poke appetizer made a fine dinner.. Seafood pasta was a huge plate. Expensive, but for... 更多
This was our 4th time doing the road to hana. Every time we end up in hana around 4-5 and stop at the ranch restaurant for dinner. This time it was closed. We didn't know where else to eat besides the food trucks. And my vegetarian aunt wasn't into that. So we heard we could eat at the travaasa hotel... 更多
The lounge at Travaasa brings good local entertainment for a true taste of the real Hawaiian people. No splashy commercial luaus here. We experienced local artists performing songs and "talk story" about island heritage, lore, and myths. This is a bar where one could actually learn something. :-)
After hiking the trails, my friends and I stopped here for some tropical drinks. The setting is gorgeous, the staff friendly & attentive, but the drinks were just ok. We all agreed we'd had better drinks at other restaurants but appreciated the atmosphere and service. Can't comment on the food, but it looked like people enjoyed it.
