I love the mocha and the coffee flavors. What a hit with all our guests. You can tell someone cares about making ice cream. This is the real thing!
If you are driving back to Kona from points South, do yourself a favor and stop for ice cream at Dave's. Try the Ube (Sweet Potato) flavor or a number of other unique local flavors.
The girls at the counter were fun and made the visit. we skipped dessert at our other place so we could try some of the Homemade ice cream…. I had the Toasted Mac nut and my husband had blueberry cheesecake.. Double Scoop Please.. its worth the trip if you are in town...
Small selection. Sherbet somehow tasted dried out. Just not great especially when you have Gypsea and Tropical Dreams available. Not even close to a first choice.
Stopped after meal along highway. Locals had suggested the place. So glad we passed on dessert at restaurant. Homemade ice cream with lots of local flavors. Must stop here during your visit. You'll be amongst the locals. Their favorite.
Almost hidden, across the hwy from the Discovery Antiques. Dave's has the best ice cream I had on the island (I had from 5 different places. I like ice cream.) I got the coconut. Great ice-cream bar, next to Annie's burgers so ideal for some post burger desert :-) Really well made ice-cream with lots of local ingredients and flavours and friendly staff happy to let you sample their many incredible flavours.
right beside the main road…after a very fine antiques shop you will see daves ice..did you ever get sweet potato-ice?!....you must get the taste... or papaya ice cream with real pieces of fruit in...even if the bowls are expensive
