We stopped in wanting to give our daughter a traditional Pacific Northwest evening on one of the islands and this was a great find. We sat on the lawn and enjoyed a great bowl of clam chowder!
The other waterfront restaurant doesn't. I've live in Seattle so have gone a few times. Great views, friendly staff; although they are somewhat overwhelmed depending on the time of the day. I suggest getting drinks at bar, then be seated. That way you won't be fussy.

Easy walking distance from Main Street Winslow Way. About 3 blocks downhill towards the water. Bar, indoor seating and enclosed deck eating. Big menu of NW fare. Seafood and Grill. We go to Doc's with friends and out of town visitors. Friendly servers, usually high school students. Not fine dining, but very comfortable and casual. Yummy desserts.

I hadn't been to Doc's for some time and considered the place mediocre at best, but something's changed--perhaps ownership: I don't know, but just had an excellent meal with friends. The service was good and the atmosphere, right off a marina with a view of the water, is really excellent.
