Great authentic options plus all the Thai staples - with somehow appropriate but kitchy interior full of teddy bears - amazing improvement over previous blue stuff.
I had two one night stays in a nearby hotel and both times I had dinner there. I loved the fried rice dish with pineapple and shrimp. Very tasty. The service was also very good and the wait times very acceptable.
I have been going to Chao Pra Ya for 10+ years and have yet to find a better Thai restaurant. The staff is so friendly--they know my order whenever I call. Highly recommend chicken larb or thai chicken, chili and basil. Having been to Thailand, I still love this place!!!
The kitchen lacked consistency on my last visit. The soup was, at best, without distinction. The green curry was not great. However, the shrimp dish and noodles were rather good. Overall, mostly tasty food. We occasionally order from this Thai restaurant for group lunches and the food is good, but not amazing. In general we avoid the duck dishes because they aren't good, but the curry dishes are quite good. Their delivery stops earlier than most places though, so order earlier.
After you've succumbed to accepting Thai with American flavors, this is truly one of the best in the area. So I'm guessing most people will really like it. We always get pad thai and drunken noodles on a first visit to compare apples with apples. That's the basis for the food opinion. The service was outstanding. Prices were on par.
